A note on the hard case luggage. I learned this the hard way. You CAN lock the cases on the bike without them being totally secured. I had thought I locked the cases on. But when I took off the right side case literally flew off. Apparently, I had not completely secured the front hook onto the luggage rail. So even though you can lock the case, it may still not be entirely on the bike. I’ve dealt with BMW hard case bags for alomst 20 years and never realized this could happen. Be careful as it cost me $455 to replace the case on the 1200 GT. One small mental error can be expensive.
