East Coast BMW Tour
I live in the West, but had always wanted to tour the East on a motorcycle. So a few years back, a couple of buddies and I met up in Boston to do a tour of Maine, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Vermont. The easiest and best way to get the motorcycle to the East was on a moving van. So I managed to “hitch” a ride on an Atlas Moving Van truck. The bike was delivered to a warehouse in Boston not more than 10 minutes from the airport. After the ride, the bike was delivered back to the warehouse and on to my home in Colorado.
As Fall approaches, I can’t think of a better way to experience the East than on a BMW motorcycle. Just follow the coast of Maine/New Brunswick to the Bay of Fundy. Then on to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. We then crossed the St Lawrence River somewhere Northeast of Quebec City and toured down to the city. Then onward to beautiful Burlington, Vermont returning to Boston. It makes for a great ride with new views everyday. We did this trip in less than a week-I think 5 days or so.
Great stuff. Nice to read some well written posts. A long way between them.
