If you’re paying attention, you’ll see that Ferrari has a new mid-engine car coming-the 458 Italia. What a looker!! There’s been nothing like this since the 355. I’m sorry but the 360 and the 430 just don’t make it. Anyway, now everybody has a mid-engine super car on the market accept good ole BMW. Even Audi has the R8. So if you go back a few years, BMW came out with the M1 in 1979-80. With it’s introduction, I thought that BMW was really going to be on the super car leading edge. Contemparary cars then were the Ferrari 308 and the Lotus Esprit-that was about it. I’d love to see BMW enter the market place with an M powered mid-engine car. I haven’t seen any hint of something like this coming, but if someone wants to enlighten me, I’m ready.
