Hello to everyone!

This has been the greatest resource I have ever seen for what could be a very complicated and expensive vehicle. Thanks to all, and I thought instead of just taking advantage of reading the threads, I should show some respect and introduce myself, my better half, and her car

I met the woman of my dreams, three years ago this December. We decided about 8 months ago it was time for another car for her. I talked her into driving a 2001 530i. We took it home the next morning. Things were good. Then they were not.

While at the stables where she keeps her horse, some guy was loading a horse too close to the parking area, and long story short, when she walked out of the barn after everyone was gone, she saw dirt and mud all over the side of her car. After trying to get some answers as to who or whom damaged her car and getting nowhere, she did the right thing. She took it home and washed it. Then she found it. A nice dent on the drivers rear door as well as some scratches. I have buffed the scratches, and the dent will get fixed when we have more money.

Then the passenger rear tail light got broken. I love my future wife, and I love my life. Because of those two reasons, I will not be discussing how it got broken. Lets just say that I should never have parked my truck behind her car. It was my fault. (Honey, can you zip up your purse, my nuts are getting a bit of a chill)

Anyway. Had the possesed blower fan that was also draining the battery, replaced the FSU last night, everything is groovy.

I need some good aftermarket tails now. I bought a set from the dreaded e-bay, and of course the plug is wrong because it is an ‘01, so they were returned. I have been reading extensively about tail lamps, and it seems that everyone wants what I have because they get upgrade kits, I just want a reasonably priced (ie: Not 450.00 dollars) smoked/clear set that plugs in. Oh well, the search continues.

2001 530i, automatic, deep tinted windows (hard to see out of when backing up!) everything else stock……….for now.
